Terms of Service

Last updated: May 24, 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of the Practice Launch Pack and any other digital products sold through practiceletter.org (the "Service"). By purchasing or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Service.

1. What you're buying

The Practice Launch Pack is a collection of editable document templates designed as a starting point for solo private-practice therapists licensed in California. The pack reflects California regulations as of the date listed on each document. The templates are not legal advice, clinical advice, or a substitute for professional judgment. You are responsible for adapting every document to your specific practice, license type, and circumstances before use with any client.

The pack includes ten core forms plus an adaptation guide, delivered as a ZIP file containing PDF and editable Word (.docx) versions of each document.

2. License

On payment, we grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the included documents in your own clinical practice, including adapting, editing, signing, and distributing the resulting documents to your own clients. You may not resell, redistribute, or share the original templates or your purchased copy with any third party, including other clinicians.

The license is single-user. If multiple clinicians in a group practice want to use the templates, each clinician needs their own license.

3. Updates

You are entitled to twelve months of updates from the date of purchase. If we revise the pack during that period in response to California regulatory changes, you will receive the updated version at no additional cost via the email you used at checkout.

4. Refunds

Full refunds are available within fourteen days of purchase, for any reason. Reply to your delivery email or write to support@practiceletter.org, and we will process the refund through Stripe within one business day. Funds typically appear on your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

After fourteen days, refunds are at our discretion.

5. No professional advice

Practiceletter is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We are not a clinical supervisor and do not provide clinical advice. The documents we sell are starting points for your own adaptation, reviewed and approved by you as the licensed professional before use. You assume full responsibility for ensuring the documents you use meet the requirements of California law, the rules of your licensing board, and the standards of care applicable to your practice.

If you need legal advice, consult an attorney. If you need clinical supervision, consult a qualified clinical supervisor.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and survives any termination of these terms.

7. Privacy

Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

8. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you purchased governs your purchase. Continued use of the Service after a change to the terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
